Why hello there person currently looking at my website! Since this page is dedicated to the topic of me, let me begin without any further delay. I am currently finishing a masters degree in computational linguistics at the State University of New York at Buffalo (or, UB). At UB I work at the CIT Help Desk which provides technical support for the campus community. I enjoy doing things. I can cook a mean spaghetti dinner. I drive a Ford Focus, a beige one. I've lived in Buffalo for 5 years now. Before that I grew up in Monroe, NY. I've visited the Netherlands 12 times in my life. My musical tastes vary, and I usually go through phases listening to different things. The music I've listened to most recently includes: Rammstein, Eminem, No Doubt, Muse, Metallica, Franz Ferdinand, Tatu, Ace of Base, and other stuff. I don't smoke. I do drink (moderately :).
My primary artistic medium is paper and pencil. I used to do the occasional oil painting. As a kid I used to build loads of crap out of cardboard and masking tape. The majority of my computer generated artwork was done in the past 5 years. My primary tools include Bryce, 3d studio max, and Photoshop.
Even though 3dsmax has the better rendering engine I still use Bryce for scene building because I know how to make everything the way I want it in there. I like Bryce's atmospherics. Plus with photoshop I can add extra effects to the final render afterwards. Most of my recent models were done in 3dsmax.
Lately I've been of the opinion that many of my older images didn't do my models justice. This explains why I've been going back to older themes for my newest set of images. Also, I don't have time to make any new models. Hell, I didn't even update this website for 2 years because I was too busy.
