Unveiled New Brazil Jerseys For The 2018 World Cup

For the 2018 World Cup in Russia, La Seleçao will play their matches in a brand new outfit. A jersey inspired by the famous 1970 jersey worn by Pelé, Gérson, Jairzinho, Rivellino and Tostão, winning the 4-1 Cup against Italy in a historic final in Mexico. Neymar or Dani Alves will wear this new Nike jersey with historical design and innovative technologies to the delight of fans of the Brazilian team!

“The brilliant, bright yellow of the Brazilians combined with their style of play has really had an impact on viewers around the world,” said Pete Hoppins, Design Director for Nike Football Apparel. “It’s one of the most emblematic moments in football history, and we wanted to channel that energy into Brazil’s 2018 collection.”

As you might expect, the Brazil home jersey will be yellow in 2018. A slightly modified yellow, as explained earlier in the article.

The Nike logo on the chest is green, as are the 5 stars (represent the titles of world champions) and the name “Brasil” displayed below the coat of arms. The flocking of the number on the chest is at the level of the torso. The neck of the shirt is also green (there is a blue band behind the collar). The ziz-zag motif representing the dynamism is present on this outfit home of brazil.

The 2018 outfit is accompanied by a pair of blue shorts, and the socks are white with a yellow band at mid-height surrounded by a green border.

The new Brazil 2018 outdoor jersey is mainly blue and just sublime. There is a star motif on the front of the jersey around the coat of arms, and tells the story of two important moments in the history of the Seleção:

1. The first time they wore blue (in 1958 against Sweden)
2. The first world cup won.

The national team’s coat of arms and the Nike logo are yellow. The flocking of the number will be placed below the Nike logo. At the back of the collar, we can see two yellow bands and a green in the middle. There are also zig-zag patterns on the sleeves, as on all jerseys of national teams equipped by Nike in 2018. The outfit of Brazil is complemented by white shorts and blue socks.
